Clay is where cooking began.
In ancient kitchens across Mesopotamia, the Mediterranean and Asia, clay has shaped some of the world's oldest cooking traditions. Heat moved slowly. Flavor deepened gradually. Meals took time.
Then everything got faster. But some things were never meant to be rushed. Good cooking is one of them.
Mitipot brings cooking back to people who ran out of time for it.
Mitipot comes in two parts: a handmade clay pot, and the ingredients made to cook inside it. Every meal is the same three steps — Base, Protein, Finish. About fifteen to twenty minutes. Not instant. Intentionally simple.
Part one — the clay pot
Miti (मिट्टी) is Hindi for clay, for earth. Every Mitipot is handmade in Khurja, India's historic pottery town, so each one is slightly different.
Unglazed, so there is nothing between the clay and the food. It cooks evenly, holding slow gentle heat long after the flame. Nutrients stay in the food rather than cooking off. And clay is naturally alkaline, which gently balances the acidity in your bases and spices.
Part two — the ingredients
The first menu begins in India, crafted across our family and restaurant kitchens in New Delhi and built to come alive when you cook them.
We do the groundwork. You do the cooking. Every base arrives slow-cooked, pre-portioned and shelf-stable, with no preservatives — nothing in the pouch but the dish itself.
From the family
Mitipot is built across Los Angeles, New York, and New Delhi by two generations of a family rooted in food and hospitality. We believe the modern kitchen still has something to learn from the people who came before us — from the care they brought to cooking, the value they placed on time, and the way food brought people together. Mitipot carries that ancestral wisdom forward, thoughtfully redesigned for how we live now.
